I’m 21 years of age currently putting together a business plan and struggling to think of a name for my spa/salon.

The services offered will include; massage (aromatherapy, swedish & indian head); reflexology; electrical facials; tans; luxury mani & pedicures; nail extensions; make-up application; eyebrow & lash treatments…to name just a few!

I would like the name to suggest relaxation and pampering rather than focusing on the superficial beauty as i believe it may be more alluring however that is just one opinion.

Ever notice that those mall kiosks with the “breakthrough” beauty & spa treatments are always employed by extremely pushy foreigners? They walk up to every woman and kiss butt and cross boundaries by putting stuff on your hands/neck without even asking? I want to say that most of them are French or something, I can’t quite make the accent and I don’t want to stop and ask and engage in conversation because to them I’m just a stupid vain american woman who will feed into every one of their lies.
Don’t get me wrong, I know they are just doing their job, and I can understand that. I just wonder why the companies purposely employ them however that first answer makes sense. What does every one else think?

I have nearly excellent credit (which is why I got the loans) which I have maintained for about 14 years. Now, about seven weeks from opening, I foresee a shortage of about 30K. I have searched everywhere for another loan, to include the new Patriot Express Business Loan for the military, but, they will not loan for a business overseas. Also, the number of loans on my Credit Report doesn’t make it a great idea to apply for another one. In the first month, my projected revenue is 15K. This total will double itself over the next three months, which is why I know that someone either investing in my business, or granting me a loan, will receive back their loan in a short period, or their investment will be a positive one. hello! as a birthday present my mother got me a gift certifcate for a spa “beauty day” which includes a facial, massage, and manicure. i was just wondering if it’s common to go on a spa day by yourself, or do people normally go with a friend? i would really hate to ask a friend to spend $175 to go with me.

also is there anything i should know about going (like about shaving beforehand or wearing perfume) sorry if this is a weird question!

and when do you tip? do you pay at the end so you tip at the end or do you tip everyone who was working on you? lol i’ve had my hair/nails done before but never at a spa.
